How far is it from Blackbeard's Castle to the port dock in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas? - cruising charlotte
I take a cruise in a few weeks in the eastern Caribbean. A port, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. We want to the shore excursion that us to the Castle of Blackbeard is increasing, but are responsible for our own transportation to the ship. What is the distance from the castle in the dock? We were able to walk backwards, if possible, or did we pay too much money for a taxi, bus?

You will need a taxi (go too far), but it will not cost much. Probably about $ 20 - $ 30 U.S..
It is two miles as units taxi, about one mile above the harbor pier Haven Site (West India Company) Dock ... and no taxis ....... is descending through a rough part of town, so that it would pay $ 20.00 ..
when the ship comes to Crown Bay, a taxi finally time ....
but why is it about? Not much to see there, or in the castle of Bluebeard (hotel with an observation tower old ).......

Not far from there by taxi. Be sure to negotiate the fare before entering the cabin, and make sure it is a return evaluated.
